Hello, My name is Lynette. I was born in Colorado but have been in the Missouri/ Illinois area most of my life since I was 12. I am Mom to 3 young women and GiGi {grandmother} to 6.

I have always loved wood. Always wanted to know how to carve since I can remember. First carving made about 10-15 yrs ago and then was invited to visit Belleville Area Holzschnitzers and have been learning to carve there for about a year.

Can't wait to meet all of you. Pleased with the opportunity to do so.  I've looked around the web site a little and am enjoying all I see. There are some really amazing talented folks here. Hope it rubs off..

Welcome to the website Lynette,

I also am a member of the club in Belleville.  I'm sure I have seen you at a meeting but I still have a lot of people to meet and know.  My daughter Meghan and I started going there 1 1/2 years ago.  I am suppose to be the webmaster of the clubs web site but haven't really got into it yet because of some conflicts in my schedule.  Starting in May I should be back and start getting things posted.

Hope you enjoy this site.  There are a great bunch of members here.

Lynette,  Glad you joined!  The more the merrier.  Looking forward to seeing some of the things you carve.  And hoping to learn from you too.

Welcome aboard, Lynette!!  Good folk here-abouts.  We participated in the Belleville show last year and it is on our travel schedule for this year as well.  Stop by and "shake-a-howdy".  Sandie and I would be pleased to get to know you.   --Ol' Don

Welcome... and am I correct in assuming that the bear is one of your carvings?? would like to see a little more about  your carvings..it seems that a number of people have left so many blanks on the page and a lack of carving pictures... and profiles ,kinda hard to think of things to write about.. you can check out evrything (almost) that you every wanted to know about me at www.willhayden.com

Have a nice evening..

Thank you all so much for the welcome.  Sorry Will but the bear is just one I admire. Wish I could do that!  I borrowed the pic for the time being and hope the creater doesn't mind me borrowing it.  My carvings are still a bit off in every way. But I'm pluggin along.

Dennis and Matt, I remember meeting you at our Belleville Area Woodcarvers show last November. My granddaughter and I ran the information booth most of the 2 days.

thanks to all of you!  Lynette
