Hey everyone,

I'd like to do a quick survey here in the forum...

I don't know if you've heard the interview over in the "INTERVIEWS" area, but I'm thinking of making this a free monthly feature for the site for anyone to come and download them.  Of course, it's already free to us members, but I'm thinking of giving them away to anyone who wants them.

It's just a good thing to give away and perhaps generate some interest in the site.

What do you think... keep it a "member only" benefit or give the interviews away?

Reply with your thoughts.

Well... I think FREE is good.... It is like some clubs that I belong to do not have their newsletters available to any one that stumbles onto the site. Some of the clubs up here that I belong to have SUPER news letters and I think you gain(members)and followers with that free Newsletter. Check out the Northwest Carvers Assoication newsletter for one.. I think it is read around the world. Betty puts in a lot of hours and it shows..check it out.

Hi Matt,
I think free would be a good choice.  In that manner you can reach more non-members and it may encourage them to join.  You can post to the various woodcarving lists that this month the interview is with.......  It's a kind of reminder about this site...a marketing tool perhaps.    In this day everything is instantaneous or it is forgot about.  I think people have to work harder at marketing than before. Especially with the internet, when it's just a click away.
Just my thoughts.
Sally

I agree with Sally about using the interviews to draw people in to the site.   Free is always good also.

I am for the free content, as well. If it weren;t for things like that, I don't know if I would have ever gotten started learning to carve...
