I would like to pose the question of "What do you think is the difference between artist and craftsman?"  Please read my latest journal posting to get some background information, before making any comment.

I'm going to try to liven up the forum a little as it has been sort of dead lately.  Remember, if you have any question or comment about woodcarving, don't be afraid to post it.

. A true artist is one who can create origionality regardless of the medium..A craftsman is a person who can take someone's design and make it...A Windsor chair for example. And, then there is me, who can create a perfectly good design and screw it up....All BS aside, same with the polite smoke blowing at the seat of the pants , you fall into one of those two groups. You are either leading or following. And, no matter how hard the spin, you use ,how damaging to the ego......you still fall into one of those two groups.        You have creativity within you, it wants to come out..Once you let it loose, there will be no end of ideas, nor a life time to get them done.  So, if I bruised your ego, no problem, egos only lie to you, and tie you down as effectively as if chains were used...Leave the herd and see where you go..At least field muffins will not be a danger, cordially Nad aka KingNad
