NorthEast CCA CarveAlong
Posted On 05/27/2008 09:03:30

May 27, This past weekend I attended the NorthEast  CCA CarveAlong hosted by the Mystic Carvers at the W Alton Jones Campus. It was a fantastic weekend! The CCA Instructors were Harley Refsal, Pete Ortel, and Joe You.
The sessions were wonderful, the evenings listing to presentations and sharing and carving and sharing, and the meals and accomodations were so very nice.  I can't imagine anything  being better except perhaps more hotel like sleeping accomodations, but then the costs would skyrocket.

Thanks to Harley, Pete, and Joe for their teaching and inspiration. Thanks to Ed Ertel and his committee and the whole Mystic Carvers Club. Thanks to the camp staff.

This was my flirst overnight carving seminar. It was great and allowed for personal contact and the making of new friends and to  bounce off ideas and questions about a carving problem.

Lancaster Co WoodCarver

I'm relatively new to caracature carving after carving a walking stick one week each year for 20+ years. I am a member of the Lancaster County WoodCarvers in PA and have served as the Advertizement Chair for the past year.

I am looking forward to the CCA carv-in over the Memorial Day Weekend in Rhode Island.

Want to try my hand at Airbrush painting of my caracatures and looking for some hints and help and guidance.

God's healing to all!
