I made this board for the sole purpose of finishes. I always want a certain type of finish, but I don't want to waste in on a piece of work. If it doesn't look good. However it makes a good wood identifier, and teaching tool. So I bought a sample pack from Woodcraft and got some form board, and made myself a Sample Board. The first finish I used was a Salad Bowl (food friendly) finish. Next a Clear Gloss finish. Later I will try others, but that is what I had.
