Yikes!!! The Euro is 1.60 to the US dollar (22 April 08). Do you European travelers have any travel tips to share??? David and I purchase food in grocery stores ...cheese, bread, fruit, veggies that don't require cooking. Any other thoughts/ideas? I'd like to hear your comments.

Wish I could provide better advice than "don't drink the water!"

I'll be watching this thread closely -- I'm traveling to France next year for some kayaking.

Where are you headed "over the pond?"

Hi Matt,

Yes, we only drink bottled water. (smiling)

We're headed for Austria and Bavaria, Germany in September. Have research to follow up, either teach or demo fan-carving AND take a class at Austrian school of woodcarving Geisler-Moroder. Thanks for your comment.
