Paul D. Dietemann

I am Paul D. Dietemann, a semi-retired businessman residing in St.Louis, MO.
I was born, educated and raised my family here. My business was started in 1990 from a studio in my home. I carve on wood and engrave on all types of metal and glass for weddings, gifts and awards.
I have, on special occasions, engraved at outside locations, i.e. Macy’s and Dillard’s stores. Some of my clients are the St.Louis Area Boy Scout Council, American Cancer Society, Ford truck dealership, also Calvin Klein, Estee’ Lauder and other cosmetic
companies, Orrefors Crystal and many private individuals.

Wood carving is done on wood blanks, gunstocks and plaques. I have studied with other carvers such as Keith Hone, Dr. Lewis Jenson, Barry MacKenzie and Kirk Ratajesak. I am a member of the National Wood Carvers Assn. and the Belleville Holzschnitzers
(wood carvers).

I also enjoy carving landscape and rural scenes
Another medium that I sculpt is on large egg shells, such as ostrich, rhea, emu and goose eggs. Also, I am a founding member of EGGS, which is the Eggart Guild of Greater St. Louis.

I have done some chip carving and taken classes from
Barry McKenzie but i still need some more practice.

I am a
member of the National Wood Carvers Assn. and the Belleville Holzschnitzers (wood carvers). I participate in two wood carving shows every November, the Belleville Holzschnitzers in Belleville IL on the first weekend in November and the St. Louis Area Wood Carvers show in Kirkwood, MO during the weekend after Thanksgiving.

I also do hand engraving on glass, metal items

It is especially rewarding to create something for people, by hand, that will be cherished for many years.
