How and when I got started woodcarving
I always had a pocket knife & would make chips, aboyt 20 years ago my wife got me a set of gouges & I started making name tags & belt buckles. 9 years ago I retired & started carving in earnest.

I enjoy these types of woodcarving
Mostly anything in the round.

I enjoy carving these things
Boots, saddles, horses, cowboys, indians, anything with a western theme.

I'd like to learn more about
I need to pick up my speed, I carve way too slow!

I attend these woodcarving clubs
Pineywoods carving club Nacogdoches Texas

Here's what else I enjoy
I am a Boy scout Roundtable Commissioner, & I enjoy working in my yard & garden.

Thanks for the complement. The idea wasn't original, but I added the woodburning on the sides of the boots to make them look real.
